Join LWC for a 10 - Day Fast
Happy New Year! Pastor Freddie is taking the first 10 days of 2024 to help us put God first.
Join us for 1 day or all 10 days as we walk through "Putting God First".
Day 1- Exodus 20:3
Pastor Freddie is starting the year off by encouraging everyone to put God first. Check out the Day 1 reflection.
Day 2- Matthew 4:4

If you have not started there is still time to fast with us as we are 'Putting God First' in 2024.

Day 3- Mark 9:28-29

Mark 9:28 - 29 When He came into the house, His disciples began questioning Him privately, "Why could we not cast him out?' And He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."
Day 4- Ephesians 5:15-16

Ephesians 5:15-16 Look carefully then how you walk, not a unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
Day 5- Matthew 6:33

Day 6 - Matthew 22:37

Day 7 - John 15:5
Day 7 of our 10 day church fast. Pastor Freddie has given us wonderful reflection for today. Check out his day 7 reflection.
John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches, he who abides in Me and I in him, be bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
Day 8 - Galatians 2:20
Join Pastor Freddie as he guides us through the day 8 reflection. Galatians 2:20, I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and and gave Himself up for me.
Day 9 - Galatians 2:20
Day 9! This fast has been a great way to start the new year. We are almost done and God has shown Himself faithful. Join Pastor Freddie for the day 9 fast reflection as he finishes Galatians 2:20.
Day 10 - Matthew 5:16
Day 10! As Pastor Freddie closes out our 10 day church fast themed "Putting God First" he reminds us to continue to let our light shine. What a wonderful way to start a new year. Check out the day 10 reflection.

Annual Beautiful Feet 5k
The Beautiful Feet 5K is an annual fundraiser event for 500 students at Title I schools within the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District, some of the students classify as McKinney-Vento "homeless." All proceeds from the Beautiful Feet 5K go towards meeting the goal of 500 shoes.
Sign-ups are available on their website to volunteer or participate in the race.

We are hosting outdoor services at Winget Park and inviting the community to join us so we can learn and grow in Christ together.

Quarterly Marriage Emphasis Evening - Save the date!
Marriage Emphasis Evening is where we build community to encourage each other, hold each other accountable to grow as godly spouses, and provide insight concerning marriage while having a great time of fellowship.

Graduation Sunday
June 9, we take dedicate time in our regular 10 am service to recognize and encourage all our graduates.

WHAT: Flag Football & canned food drive.
Everyone is invited to join in a family friendly game of flag football.
Enjoy the game and work off some of that Thanksgiving dinner.

Every forth Sunday at 2 pm you can find Pastor Freddie and the First Family serving our elders at Cadence Senior Living Retirement Community.
They deliver the Word of God and demonstrate God's love for his people through service to our elders.
Beautiful Feet
We partnered with Beautiful Feet 5K
What: Pray, encourage, run or walk the Beautiful Feet 5K. An annual fundraiser for students at Title I schools in the Charlotte Mecklenburg area. Funds will purchase safe and size appropriate shoes for underprivileged CMS students.
